Growing up in Ukraine as a little child I could spend hours and hours drawing or painting on a big roll of paper unrolled all over the floor of our home. At the age of 14 I entered Art School where I began a good classical education. During this time I was inspired by sculpture and started seriously working with clay. Soon my sculptures were exhibited at art shows and galleries in the USSR.

After this successful start I regretfully decided to change my career for a not so exciting but more financially stable career... I attended the Western Ukrainian University and graduated as an engineer. During this time I still painted with a group of local artists and dreamed about a full time artistic career.

Upon immigrating to the United States in 1998 I was able to refocus my life and rekindle my love for painting. I am passionate about composition, light, and color. The complexities of reflection, transparency, color harmonies, and dramatic contrast in value appeal to me. I look for subject matter that affords me the opportunity to create through provoking compositions within the realm of realism.

Today I am a qualified signature artist of the National Oil & Acrylic Painters' Society, a member of the Women Painters of Washington, Women Painters of the West, Plein Air Painters of Washington, and Oil Painters of America.

My works have been accepted into some of the best competitions in the country and have won numerous awards. My works can be found in many private collections.

I am continuously engaged in teaching workshops and classes privately and at Everett Community College.
