Evening with Iguana
My husband and I went on a warm sunny vacation to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
I was very much interested in the native costumes and the tropical scenery however my artistic eye was drawn to the quiet moments that seem to just glide on by.
My painting “Evening with Iguana” was inspired by the native Indians who live in the nearby mountains and are quite famous for their artistry with animal figures covered in small multicolored glass beads. The young man in “Artisan” never spoke a word to anyone but very intently covered his iguana figure in symbols of his people made with the colorful beads.
